In this assignment we followed a tutorial and edited and image. Tutorial link: https://digital-photography-school.com/mono-with-a-dash-of-colour-photoshop-cs2-tutorial/ https://www.photoshopessentials.com/photo-effects/texture-map/ https://www.photoshopessentials.com/photo-effects/screen-jump/ This assignment varied in difficulty. The texture assignment (#2) was difficult as I had to perfectly line things up and outline in photoshop. Every detail in that assignment mattered, as one slip up may cause the image to look bad. Others such as the jump screen (#3) was more in the middle. I learned a lot in this assignment such as using different tools.

In this assignment I took macro photos of leaves on trees around my house. In this photo, I did not do any editing. My aperture is f5.0, 1/100 shutter speed, and an ISO of 1600. I didn't do any editing. I learned how to get close up to a photo and use positioning in this assignment.
In this assignment we were taking multiple photos of ourself and putting them together in photoshop. This is my first one. I tried to have one image in front of the other in one area. This was difficult because it took a lot of time to clean up after in photoshop. This is my second photo.
In this assignment, I learned how to clean up images in photoshop, use the lasso tool, and create images with myself in it more than once. For school context, I took a picture of the high school gym and changed it to make it look like it was underwater with lots of life such as submarines and fish. This is the original photo that I took. This is the edited version. I learned a lot about editing in photoshop in this assignment. I learned about clouds, adding images, and blurring.
In this assignment we were taking our 5th photo. I chose to do still life. I did this by using light to create a good background a put the focus on my subject. I used my swim goggles and a dark room and a flashlight for this. I didn't do any editing for this photo. It has an aperture of f2.8, 1/30 shutter speed, and an ISO of 200. I learned how to use lighting and angles in this photo. Without the proper use of lighting, these photos would not have been possible.
In this assignment we were taking our 4th photo. I chose to take photos of nature landscape. I did this by using colors in my photos. For example, I tried to capture the pink of the evening sky while showing the red and green trees. In this photo, I tried to capture the colors of the landscape, including the red and green trees and the pink sky. I edited this photo to make it brighter and to really try and bring out some more color. F6.3, 1/50 shutter speed, and an ISO of 1600. I learned about colors in this assignment. I tried to make some colors pop and others blend in .
In this assignment we were taking multiple pictures (3+) to put them together and create a panorama in photoshop. In order for this to work, we needed a steady hand and good light balance. I learned a lot in this assignment, such as balancing light, but especially how to make a pano.
This is the third photo assignment that we did. I chose to do black and white images of a railroad track. Data: f3.5, shutter speed=1/1600, and the ISO is 400. In this photo, I didn't do any editing except for making it black and white in photoshop. I learned a lot about perspective in these photos. I think that this was a good experience an photoshoot. I also had to work on lighting and angles in photo 3.
In this assignment I used a photo of a car and edited it in photoshop. We changed stuff like the background, colors, and brightness. This is the original version of the car before I edited it. This is the edited version of the original image. As you can see, the two images are very different. The background, colors, and brightness are all things that appear different. This is the second version of the edited car. I changed it around by using the hue and saturation tool, as well as painting the background to give it a much lighter feel overall compared to the first.

AuthorI am a freshman at Saline. I chose this class because I wanted to try something new that I hadn't done before. I don't have any previous photography skills or knowledge, so I thought that this class would be something that could help me learn more about digital photography. Archives
