This is the third photo assignment that we did. I chose to do black and white images of a railroad track. Data: f3.5, shutter speed=1/1600, and the ISO is 400. In this photo, I didn't do any editing except for making it black and white in photoshop. I learned a lot about perspective in these photos. I think that this was a good experience an photoshoot. I also had to work on lighting and angles in photo 3.

In this assignment I used a photo of a car and edited it in photoshop. We changed stuff like the background, colors, and brightness. This is the original version of the car before I edited it. This is the edited version of the original image. As you can see, the two images are very different. The background, colors, and brightness are all things that appear different. This is the second version of the edited car. I changed it around by using the hue and saturation tool, as well as painting the background to give it a much lighter feel overall compared to the first.
In this assignment we were taking a photo of something such as architecture or landscape. For photo 2, I chose to take pictures of my cat (animal). In my best photos, I tried to use elements of composition, especially the rule of thirds and perspective. My shutter speed for this image is 1/40. The Aperture is F3.5 and the ISO is 400. I edited this in photoshop by cropping it. I did this to make the colors look betters there were some colors on the side that didn't fit and drew attention. What I learned in in this assignment was how to use elements such as rule of thirds to make my photos better. I also learned how to position the camera and use perspective in my photos. I think that the whole photo assignment went well. I learned a lot and will use what I learned in the future.
In this assignment we were using photoshop to edit a photo that we took of ourselves in Photo Booth. In this assignment I learned how to use photoshop. I had never used photoshop before this assignment, so I learned a lot. I learned how to duplicate images, change colors, crop, and modify images on photoshop.
For my second photo I am going to focus on animals. I will likely use my cat as my subject in these photos. I want to work on making the photo clear and using composition in my photos. The following pictures are similar to what I'd like to capture. These phots use elements of composition and shutter and aperture to capture the animal as their subject in a clear way. I hope to achieve a photo of similar quality by using the elements of composition and shutter and aperture.
In this assignment, we were required to take photos of a subject such as animals and take at least 50 photos of that subject. I chose to take photos of motion. I did this by capturing my brother on his bike at different shutter speeds to show the movement. This is my best photo that took for the assignment. The ISO in this photo was 800, I had an aperture of F8.0, and a shutter speed of 1/15. I chose not to do any editing for this photo. The following photos are my next best ones. In this assignment I learned about how to balance light when adjusting shutter speeds to capture movement. To adjust the amount of light in my photo I needed to control the ISO settings and change the aperture. I think that the experience overall was good, as I captured some good photos and learned about light balancing. I would like to practice panning with my subject while it is moving in the future, because I would have liked to have my subject be more clear in some photos.
For my fist shooting assignment, I am going to focus on motion. I want to work on capturing and emphasizing movement in my photos by adjusting shutter speeds and panning with my subject.

AuthorI am a freshman at Saline. I chose this class because I wanted to try something new that I hadn't done before. I don't have any previous photography skills or knowledge, so I thought that this class would be something that could help me learn more about digital photography. Archives
